Miami Dolphins’ abysmal performance on Monday night stems from not having the best players available. Despite that, Tyler Huntley will again start at quarterback for Miami for this weekend’s game against the Patriots.
Huntley will continue to fill in for Tua Tagovailoa, who remains in concussion protocol. Reportedly he is symptom-free but still not eligible to play until week 8.
Miami has not won any game since Tua sustained his most recent concussion during the team’s Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Meanwhile, Huntley, who is a five-year veteran, threw for just 96 yards on 14 of 22 passing in the game against the Tennessee Titans. He had several misconnections with Tyreek Hill, which led to him loudly voicing his displeasure on the sidelines.
Here is what Huntley said regarding his inaccurate throws, via the AP.
“I just got to hone into being on time with them and get more reps on it. That’s the only way we’re going to build it if we get more reps.”
The head of the Dolphins understands Hill’s frustration, as Hill and the Dolphins’ offense have underperformed significantly this season.
Head coach McDaniel said.
“I would expect (Hill) to be visibly upset at somebody. He’s a leader, and he wanted to do everything that he could to make sure the result wasn’t that.”
Well, on Sunday, the Dolphins will face the Patriots who are also struggling and like Miami, they also have a 1-3 scoreline.
So, it might give the Dolphins some hope that they can win against the New England Patriots. The Patriots are also coming off a 30-12 loss to the 49ers.
