Bronny and LeBron James Share Court Together for the First Time

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and his son, Bronny James played on the court for the first time during their Sunday’s preseason game against Phoenix Suns.

LeBron James started the game and was rested halfway through the first quarter. Then he returned to start the second quarter with his son. His son, Bronny James, was making his first appearance in the game.

Well, this is a history in the making. Technically it might not be called a history because it is preseason. A father-son duo has never played in the same NBA game. It is most likely that this father-son duo will become the first to achieve this feat when playing together in the regular season game.

However, the appearance in the preseason game for both was a sight to behold. The 39-year-old LeBron James took the court with his 20-year-old son Bronny James.

Check out this video shared by the NBA.

It was the first game of LeBron James this preseason, while Bronny played on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves where he put up two points, three blocks, one assist, and one rebound.

Bronny James was the 55th overall pick in the draft by the Lakers in June. He was nervous while playing alongside his dad. He struggled to find his footing in the opener, going 1 for 6 from the field and missing his only 3-point attempt.

Meanwhile, LeBron is entering his 22nd NBA season. Last year, he was third third-team All-NBA selection for his average of 26 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds per game on brilliant 54/41/75 shooting splits.

It is a salute to his longevity and consistency that he is able to play an NBA game with his son. It may not even be possible for many players.
