Well, he may not have performed as per the expectations from the Tigers but has given an option to them in the rotation. He was in rotation with ace and reigning American League Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal. With the loss of Jobe, the Tigers will depend on Sawyer Gibson-Long in the rotation.

Alex Cobb is on a minor league rehab assignment and Jose Urquidy is working towards recovery from his Tommy John surgery in June 2024. Jose recently threw a 20-pitch bullpen. Apart from these two, Reese Olsen will soon throw a bullpen as well. It means that. Tigers are good for now as reinforcements are on the way. However, they may seek rotation depth before the trade deadline of July 31.
