India is set to host South Africa in November and December this year. For their home season, India is scheduled to play West Indies and South Africa.
The BCCI has released the schedule of the West Indies and South Africa tour of India. India will host Africa in Guwahati for the second home test.
The hosts will play their two Test matches against West Indies before the South African challenge at home. They will spar with the South African team in all three formats of the game. Both series will take around three months to complete.
The Indian home season will begin with the Test against West Indies on October 2 in Ahmedabad. The second and final Test will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata from October 10. The last time West Indies toured India was way back in 2018 and they lost the series by 2-0.
After the completion of the West Indies series, India is set to host the South African team starting with Test matches. India will be hoping to play well against the West Indies and carry that form in the South African Tests. The first test against Africa is set to be played in New Delhi while the second is scheduled to be played in Guwahati. The Barsapara ground in Guwahati is set to host its maiden Test match from November 22, 2025.
India will also play three ODI games with South Africa in Ranchi, Raipur, and Vizag. After that, they will travel to Cuttack, Mullanpur, Dharamshala, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad for the five T20I games. These games will come in handy before the upcoming T20 World Cup scheduled for March 2026.
