22-year-old Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has strongly denied claims predicting he would leave the team before IPL 2026. “My relationship with SRH is built on trust, respect, and years of shared passion. I’ll always stand by this team.” stressed Nitish Kumar Reddy on X dating July 27, 2025,

Having thrown only five overs across 13 matches, which he thought failed to emphasize his all-round ability, Nitish Kumar Reddy’s remarks respond to ongoing speculation about his discontent with his spot inside the squad throughout IPL 2025 start day to finish. Sources claim he objected to his batting location and a few bowling opportunities.

Because of team dynamics, particularly with Heinrich Klaasen already seated there, Reddy was moved down the batting order even if SRH had tentatively agreed to give him the No. 4 batting position. Before the 2025 auction, SRH had shown trust in him and kept him in the squad for a hefty amount of ₹6 crore. Nitish Kumar Reddy was among the five players who were retained by the team before the auctions after IPL 2024, indicating the importance of the player for the franchise.

On a different note, a knee injury has stopped Nitish Kumar Reddy’s international career;  kept him from playing after the third Test in England. Before this failure, he made a major contribution at Lord’s for his team, dismissing England openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley in quick order and grabbing Crawley’s wicket once again in the second innings. India lost by a narrow 22 runs thanks in part to his 30 and 13 innings.

Though Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had a trying season at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 and continuing rumors of infighting, Nitish Kumar Reddy’s message is clear. He has made it clear that he would stay committed; there are no immediate plans for him to quit the side.
