Louisville and Kentucky basketball schools showcased talented individuals during the McDonald’s All-American games event on Tuesday night, and both had good performances overall. The future Cardinal, Mikel Brown Jr, would tally five points and show great passing for the West team: five great assists, and one turnover in 19 minutes, 32 seconds.

Meanwhile, future Wildcat Malachi Moreno registered nine points, five rebounds, and two shot blocks in 16 minutes and 26 seconds on the Eastside. In the end, Brown was with the West that came out victorious: 105-92 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Not surprisingly, the night was made by the appearance of the best three players in the recruiting class of 2025. BYU-bound and the top-rated prospect for 2025, AJ Dybantsa topped the West’s scoring effort with 17 points. Cameron Boozer, 247Sports Composite’s second-ranked prospect, contributed 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for the East.

But perhaps the biggest show-stealer was Darryn Peterson. Scoring 18 points most by any player-Kansas signee and third in the 2025 recruit rankings sealed the victory for the West. Following the game, Boozer and Peterson were crowned co-MVPs of the tournament.

The East had to rely on Nate Ament, an uncommitted, highest-ranked 2025 player at 6-9 from Virginia, for much. He chipped in with 12 points and bagged three rebounds during 20 minutes and 45 seconds. Originally set to announce his college choice among Louisville, Kentucky, Arkansas, Duke, and Tennessee on Tuesday, Ament revealed Monday he would delay his decision to an unspecified later date.

Girls’ game had some Kentucky talent, including ZaKiyah Johnson, former Sacred Heart star, Leah Macy, who hails from Bethlehem High School, and UK signee Kaelyn Carroll on the East team. Unfortunately, they were on the losing end with a negative score of 104-82. Johnson became the key player for an East team that began to recover after the West opened with an 18-0 run.

Meanwhile, LeBron James trolls Stephen A. Smith and NBA, NFL stars react to it.
