New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns injured his knee in game 4 against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday. He collided with Aaron Nesmith with 2:11 remaining of their game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals.

He collided with Nesmith and his left knee bumped into Nesmith’s right knee. Immediately after the collision, Towns grabbed his knee and went down to the floor. However, he was able to get back up with a noticeable limp as he walked back to the bench. Despite incurring an injury, he returned to the court and played some of the best shots. In the end, he finished with 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists.

However, it wasn’t enough for them as the New York Knicks lost the game to the Indiana Pacers by 130-121. This loss has put them in a deficit with the Pacers by 3-1 in the series. However, he said, “I’m only thinking about the loss, I’m not thinking about that right now.”

Now the Knicks are facing elimination in game 5 at Madison Square Garden. The coach of the Knicks, Tom Thibodeau, said that Towns will be evaluated to determine his status for the next game on Thursday.

He said, “He was able to go back in, so that’s a good sign. We’ll see where he is after he gets evaluated.”

Towns was coming off a great performance in game 3 – which they won. He scored 20 of his 24 points in the last quarter to erase the 20-point deficit and ensured that his team came out victorious. The New York Knicks won that game by 106-100.
