The Indian Premier League is scheduled to resume this week, from Saturday, May 17. It will start with the clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders. BCCI confirmed this on May 12 and released the schedule for the remaining matches in the group stage and playoffs.
In the new lineup, a total of 17 matches will be played across six venues, and the final is scheduled to be played on June 3. However, the board did not reveal the venues for the playoffs.
BCCI said in a statement that they decided to continue with the league ‘after extensive consultations with government and security agencies, and with all the key stakeholders.’

In the revised schedule, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Punjab Kings will not get to play their remaining home games.
The game that was abandoned due to bad light between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will be replayed on May 24. Apart from that, Punjab Kings will play the rest of their games in Jaipur.
