    In the U-19 ODI Cricket World Cup 2026, England U-19 posted a mammoth total against Scotland. Ben Mayes of England scored 117-ball 191 runs to take the team total of 404 for 6. In his innings, he slammed 18 boundaries and 8 sixes. 

    It was their highest U-19 total (404) in ODIs. England was put in to bat in the first innings, and they lost Ben Dawkins early. Mayes and Moores set the foundation of their innings with a 188-run partnership. Apart from them, Caleb Falconer and Thomas Rew made useful contributions before Sebastian Morgen contributed with 24 off 11 in the end. Morgen’s innings helped England U-19 post in excess of 400 runs. 

    Theo Robinson and Thomas Knight made a steady start for Scotland with a 38-run stand. However, Luke Hands dismissed Theo Robinson in the 11th over, and that triggered a collapse. After that, the English team kept taking wickets at regular intervals and were reduced to 87 for 7 by the 27th over. 

    The lower order put up a bit of resistance with Finlay Carter, but they never threatened England. In the End, Scotland could only make 152 runs in 44.5 overs. Caleb Falconer was the pick of the bowlers by picking three wickets for 19 runs in 4.5 overs. 

    England scored 404 runs for 6 wickets in 50 overs, with Ben Mayes scoring 191 and Joseph Moores contributing with 81. Scotland could only score 152 in response, with Finlay Carter topping the batting charts with 34 runs.
