Ellyse Perry has been playing domestic cricket for Victoria for the past six years. Now, it has been confirmed that she will return home to New South Wales.

In the past six years, Perry has only been able to make limited appearances for Victoria due to her international commitments. She has played only 20 WNCL matches and made 1052 runs at 75.14. She has also taken 13 wickets in those 20 appearances. Her record is not that bad.

It has been confirmed that she will now start playing for her home state, New South Wales. However, her availability for New South Wales will also be limited due to international duty. NSW will try to defend their WNCL championship this year. In the next season, she will be representing Australia at the ODI World Cup during the early part of the season. However, there may be a window in January before the India series. India women will be visiting Australia next year for a multi-format series.

Perry said that she is grateful to Cricket Victoria for the opportunities and looking forward to playing with NSW.

“The last six years I’ve spent in Melbourne and at Cricket Victoria have been extremely fond ones and I’m incredibly grateful for all the opportunities and memories that I’ll cherish,” Perry said.

“I’m really looking forward to being back in Sydney and closer to my family and longtime friends. It’s been lovely to stay in touch with CNSW through the Sixers and I feel very fortunate to be walking back into a world class program.”

The head of female elite cricket of NSW is also happy that Perry decided to come back to NSW. “We’re thrilled to welcome Ellyse back home to the Breakers. She’s not only one of the world’s premier cricketers, but also a role model and leader whose impact extends far beyond the field.

“Pez’ professionalism, experience, and approach to the game make her an incredible asset to any team, and we’re excited to have her back in our program.”

Recently, she also signed for Vitality Blast and will play for Hampshire. After that, she will be with Birmingham Phoenix for the Hundred season.
