CSK Appoints Sridharan Sriram as Assistant Bowling Coach

    Chennai Super Kings (CSK) appoints Sridharan Sriram as their assistant bowling coach for the upcoming edition of the IPL 2025. Ahead of the next season of the IPL, he will join the experienced coaching staff of CSK led by the head Coach Stephen Fleming from New Zealand. 

    CSK also has the services of Micheal Hussy as a batting coach and Eric Simmens as a bowling consultant. 

    Coming to Sriram, he played for India in ODIs and also played in IPL for RCB and Delhi in 2010 and 2011 respectively. He will bring a wealth of experience with him as he has been working as a coach for a long time. 

    Sriram has worked with Australia as their spin bowling coach and with Bangladesh as a technical consultant for the team. Talking about the IPL, he has worked with multiple teams like RCB, DC, PBKS, and LSG. So, he also has plenty of experience as a coach in IPL as well. 

    He will be a good addition to the CSK team as they have many talented spin bowlers in their team including R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Gopal, and Noor Ahmad. Noor Ahmad was one of the key signings for CSK in this year’s IPL auction 2025

    In IPL 2025, CSK is scheduled to play their first match against their arch-rivals Mumbai Indians on March 23 in front of the home crowd in Chennai.
