Commanders, Jayden Daniels Pull Off 1 in 1.7 Million Feat

In week 3 of the NFL, Jayden Daniels gave a historic performance and stole the show in their win against the Bengals. That’s not all, he and his teammates achieved a feat that is even more mind-boggling.

We might call it a one-in-a-million occurrence, but that would not be justice to the feat.

They have scored on every drive in back-to-back games, excluding kneel-downs. In the latest game on Monday, the Washington Commanders had five touchdowns, a field goal, and two ending in kneel-downs at the end of each half. In week 2 of the league, they had seven field goals and a kneel-down to end the half. So, a 100% score for the team.

It is extremely rare, to say the least, in a game where the team scores at 100%. Since 2000, there have only been 10 games where a team scored on every drive excluding kneel-downs. This would be a 1 in 1300 chance when we consider the number of games played since 2000. There have been 12,990 games including the playoffs.

However, Washington’s Commanders achieved this feat twice in a row. So, the odds of that happening increased to 1 in 1.7 million.

So, Jayden Daniels now has 2 career games where the team scored on every drive excluding kneel-downs in three total starts.

But when we compare that with everyone, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Payton Manning, and Patrick Mahomes have combined to do that twice in their careers. Among these players, they had 1094 starts.
