After the amazing and dramatic conclusion of the International Series finals in Riyadh, the LIV Golf Tour has officially announced that two new golfers are going to play for the company in 2026. The players who just earned their spots are Yosuke Asaji from Japan and Scott Vincent from Zimbabwe.

Vincent is among the main events of the day, and his comeback is really incredible. He managed to win the season-long International Series Rankings title despite a very poor final round at the Riyadh Golf Club, where he got 75 (four over par).
His early-season consistency, highlighted by a win in Morocco, gave him the needed cushion to withstand the pressure and maintain his leading position in the standings.
Asaji, meanwhile, took the second automatic berth to LIV after ranking just behind Vincent. Although he missed the cut in the Riyadh final, his prior victory at the Moutai Singapore Open was clearly significant.
Having spent years grinding across Asian and worldwide circuits, the Japanese golfer will debut on the LIV Golf circuit in the 2026 season at the age of 32, representing a significant career leap.
Will These New Signings Shift LIV Golf’s Power Balance?

Vincent, who was demoted in 2024, returns with new ambitions and high hopes, while Yosuke Asaji brings an understated, reliable, and internationally renowned character.
Their inclusion is a turning point for the league: the LIV tour is about to start its fifth season, the team format is under evaluation, and the expansion of the league worldwide is in process.

The league is hoping the new players will bring about instability in competition and thus, it views this as one of the ways to keep its policies of meritocracy open. LIV Golf’s 2026 season begins in February at Riyadh Golf Club, where these two earned their spots. For Vincent, it’s a chance at redemption; for Asaji, it’s the platform he has long strived for.
