The San Francisco 49ers are adding Robbie Chosen, a veteran wide receiver to the mix as Brandon Aiyuk drama continues. NFL Media reported that the San Francisco 49ers have signed Robbie Chosen.
NFL reporter Josina Anderson talked to Robbie via text and here is what he responded. “Blessed and thankful. Dream come true; more to become. This is an opportunity to be apart of greatness and go win a Super Bowl. There’s greatness all around me here, from what’s been done, what exists and will be the future.”

Chosen was with the Miami Dolphins last season. He is an eight-year veteran in the league and has played for Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, and Arizona Cardinals. However, he appeared in no games for Miami in 2023. He caught just four passes for 126 yards and a touchdown.
This signing comes amid the recent Brandon Aiyuk trade rumors. There is a lot of drama surrounding the Aiyuk trade. Currently, the star wideout is holding in during training camp in hopes of signing a contract extension.
However, he wasn’t able to come to terms with the 49ers and requested a trade. According to rumors, the 49ers were in discussions with several teams including Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, and New England Patriots. Despite long talks, there is no deal on the table as of yet.
Chosen is obviously not going to replace Brandon Aiyuk at this point in his career. Chosen hasn’t surpassed 519 yards since 2020. While Aiyuk has had the last two seasons with more than 1000 yards.
