The SummerSlam title match was announced and a major WWE superstar just won a huge match in another promotion.

This wrestling rumor roundup is based on the rumors churning out by the rumor mill. Take these with a grain of salt.

Let’s get started.

AJ Styles defeats Naomichi Marufuji

AJ Styles was last seen on WWE TV in the “I Quit” match against Cody Rhodes at Clash of the Castle. Since then, there has been no news of him doing anything. However, he isn’t resting.

AJ Styles traveled all the way to Tokyo, Japan to compete in Pro Wrestling NOAH’s destination event. He faced the Japanese legend Naomichi Marufuji and defeated him after a roller-coaster of 25 minutes of entertainment in the main event.

However, it is unclear whether he will return to SmackDown or not and when. Fans are eagerly waiting for him to come and shake things a bit in the WWE universe.

Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan is On for SummerSlam

Rhea Ripley vs Liv Morgan at SummerSlam

This is not a rumor roundup, WWE confirmed the match scheduled for the SummerSlam Cleveland.

Rhea Ripley’s return on RAW has added excitement to her developing storyline with Liv Morgan. Liv Morgan currently has a Women’s World Title.

Now, Rhea is ready to take on the world champion at SummerSlam. However, it isn’t certain that she will regain the Women’s World Title. Then there is the question of Dominik Mysterio’s loyalty. It is possible that he could betray Rhea and side with Liv Morgan.

The Rock to Return to WWE with Roman Reigns

In another WWE rumor roundup, The Rock might Return to WWE with Roman Reigns.

The Rock and Roman Reigns haven’t featured together in WWE since WrestleMania XL weekend. However, Vince Russo thinks that they could return together this SummerSlam season.

When talking to SportsKeeda, a former WWE head writer claimed that The Final Boss should return and help Reigns fight off Solo Sikoa’s bloodline.

From this information, it looks like Roman Reigns is set to return to SummerSlam and confront Solo. However, it is unclear whether The Rock will return to help Roman or not.

Major Title Match Added, LA Knight Vs. Logan Paul for the United States Championship

With only two weeks away, the premier event is getting more exciting by the day with new matches announced. At WWE SmackDown the biggest party of the summer has been added, a championship match between Logan Paul and LA Knight.

Logan Paul will defend his United States championship trophy against his arch-nemesis. Both athletes put pen to paper on their Championship match and hurled verbal blows in front of SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.

Both players have been fighting on and off for months now after bumping heads backstage. It looks like the rivalry is now personal, and a championship match is fitting for them to settle their differences.

Logan also announced and confirmed his match with this tweet. He said, “I’m coming home 😈.”

This statement is significant. Logan Paul will have a hometown advantage in Cleveland. It will be interesting to see whether the fans support him or not.

When the announcement was made for this fight, he was heavily booed by the crowd. The fans wanted the fastest-rising megastar in WWE to lose his title. This makes the match even more exciting and intriguing.

On the other hand, LA Knight has yet to win a singles title on the main roster. His only win came in his Million Dollar Championship reign in NXT. After his victory over AJ Styles at WrestleMania, this could the biggest win of LA Knight’s career yet.

Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa

Cody Rhodes vs Solo Sikoa

Cody Rhodes is all set to collide with the new leader of the Bloodline and the new Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa.

The feud between the two superstars has been going on for weeks now and has intensified over the last two live events. Now, it seems that the feud is all set to reach its peak at SummerSlam on August 3.

Fans of Cody Rhodes expect him to give a dominant performance and retain the title to become undisputed WWE Champion.

However, there is a rumor that the bloodline, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton could interfere in the main event. They played many matches amongst them, so it is highly unlikely they will interfere. If that is the case, the match could become no disqualification, where Rhodes could get away with the WWE championship.

In this WWE rumor roundup, we also expect Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso to make a comeback at SummerSlam after four months. Roman Reigns was out of professional wrestling ever since his loss of the WWE championship to Cody Rhodes. While Jimmy Uso is reportedly battling an injury.

Uso could be out for blood, as Solo assaulted him after ‘Mania’ and kicked him out of the faction.

Roman Reigns could also want blood from Solo, as the latter declared himself the new Tribal Chief in place of Reigns. So, it is possible that Roman Reigns could collide with Solo for the Bloodline’s leadership.

From these wrestling rumors roundups, some are confirmed for SummerSlam.
