On Friday, the NFL handed down multiple suspensions to players for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Rams announced that offensive lineman Alaric Jackson got two two-game suspensions, while Zay Jones, the wide receiver from the Cardinals, received a five-game suspension.

According to NFL media, free agent cornerbacks J.C. Jackson and Chris Claybrooks were also handed down the suspensions. Jackson got off easy with only a game suspension, while Claybrooks got the long eight-game suspension. However, the suspension time was deemed served while on the Commissioner’s Exempt List last season.

As for Jones, he was arrested last November and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery, and those charges were dropped in March. Despite being absolved from all the charges, League conducted its own investigation and decided on a five-game suspension for the player. He was with the Jacksonville Jaguars for two years before joining Arizona this year on a one-year deal.

He is slated to return to the Cardinals for the team’s Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers.

Alaric Jackson has been with Los Angeles since the franchise signed him as an undrafted free agent. He was not a regular in the team and missed the 2022 season due to blood clots. However, he came back strong and started in all 15 games during the regular season and in the lone playoff game. He will miss the Rams game against the Detroit Lions and their matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

He will return to the field in Week 3 when Los Angeles hosts the San Francisco 49ers in a home game.
