WPL 2025 to be Held in Four Cities

    BCCI has released the schedule for this year’s Women’s Premier League (WPL). It is all set to begin on February 14. For the first time, the WPL 3 will be played at four different venues across four cities. 

    The inaugural edition of the tournament was entirely hosted in Mumbai. The second season of the league was held in Delhi and Bengaluru. Now, BCCI has decided to organize this year’s WPL in four different cities. It will be played in Baroda, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mumbai. Earlier it was reported that BCCI shortlisted Baroda and Lucknow as potential hosting cities. 

    This year’s WPL 2025 will start on February 14 in Baroda with Gujarat Giants taking on defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru. After that, Baroda will host five more games in the league and then the action will shift to Bengaluru. 

    The defending champion RCB will play four home games at that venue. However, Bengaluru will host 8 games in total before action shifts to Lucknow. Four matches are scheduled in Lucknow and three of them will feature UP Warriorz as the home side. 

    Finally, the WPL will move to Mumbai. The Mumbai venue will also host the Eliminator and final. Mumbai Indians will play two home games to finish the group stages. 

    The tournament will conclude on March 15 in Mumbai where the final will take place.
