Golf fans haven’t seen Tiger Woods on a course in the PGA Tour for quite some time. However, that reality could change soon. The last time the legendary golfer played was in the Open Championship in 2024. After that event, he underwent back surgery and missed out on a lot of events.

Tiger Woods spoke ahead of the 2026 Masters in Augusta, and the fans rejoiced with what he had to say. Tiger Woods teased a potential comeback this year. However, he didn’t officially make a commitment to the comeback.

You can check out this tweet by the PGA Tour, where he was asked the question of his comeback.

When Woods was asked a question about his recovery and if The Masters is off the table. He gave a swift one-word response, “No.” This response sent all the fans into a frenzy, and social media is abuzz with his potential return very soon.

This comes at a time when the PGA Tour has welcomed back many high-profile talents like Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed.

Of course, we didn’t get the official confirmation. He will likely keep us waiting for this. However, if he did decide to feature in The Masters, it would be his first outing post the Open Championship in 2024.

“It’s just one of those things where each and every day, I keep trying, I keep progressing, I keep working on it, trying to get stronger, trying to get more endurance in this body and trying to get it to a level at which I can play at the highest level again,” he said.

This popular tournament would certainly benefit from Woods ‘ participation in it. However, 2024 was the last time he played in this tournament and finished in 60th place.

The last time Woods won a major championship was seven years ago at The Masters. It was an improbable run that saw him shoot a -16 for the competition.
