UFC 326 has lost one of its key bouts after Paulo Costa decided to withdraw from the fight against Brunno Ferreira.
Now, Ferreira will need a new opponent for the UFC 236 on the March 7 Card. After a report from Leo Guimaraes, people started speculating about it. Now, many people in the industry have confirmed it.

However, the main reason for Costa’s pullout is not clear. This news comes just a week after UFC formally announced the contest for the Las Vegas event.
Costa (15-4) was a title contender at one time. In the last July, he returned to the winning column with a unanimous decision victory over Roman Kopylov. He rebounded from consecutive defeats to Robert Whitakkar and Sean Strickland.
On the other hand, Ferreira (15-2) recently performed well and beat Marvin Vettori via decision. He is in red-hot form with a three-fight winning streak.
Ferreira announced the news to Brazilian reporter Léo Guimaraes and looked very disappointed about it. He summed up the new development as “Paulo being Paulo.”
Ferreira said he expects a new opponent for UFC 326. He wants an opponent who is still ranked. He even named Roman Dolidze as the preferred option in a post on Instagram.
UFC 326 will take place at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena. It will also feature a BMF title bout between Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira.
