On Sunday’s practice session, the Kansas City Chiefs had a special guest at training camp as former head coach Jon Gruden made an appearance.
He helped out at Sunday’s practice session. He was in full Kansas City gear to help out with the practice session.
Check this out.
In the practice session, he was seen with the current head coach Andy Reid, and worked with multiple assistants. Gruden and Reid have known each other for a long time when they were together on Mike Holmgren’s offensive staff with the Green Bay Packers.
At that time, they worked together from 1992 to 1994. Gruden worked as an offensive assistant/quality control coach and wide receivers coach. While Reid worked as an assistant offensive line and tight ends coach.
After having worked together, they faced each other multiple times when they were head coaches of other teams. Now, both of them have reunited for a practice session with the Kansas City Chiefs. We don’t know if something is brewing between them or not.
Gruden was a consultant last season with the New Orleans Saints. However, this year, he’s worked with the Italian football team Milano Seamen of the European Football League as an advisor.
In 2021, Gruden was the head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. He resigned from his head coaching position when emails including racist, sexist, and homophobic comments surfaced. Gruden has been trying to sue the league over that incident.
As a head coach in 2002, he helped the Bucs to win the Super Bowl over the Raiders.
