The Indiana Fever superstar, Caitlin Clark, helped them pick up their biggest win in nearly a decade as they triumphed over Atlanta Dream, 84-79. Caitlin Clark also ties with the Dream guard Rhyne Howard for the all-time rookie 3-point record as she recorded her 85th of the season.

Aliyah Boston gave her team a boost right from the start with an 8-0 lead. However, Dream also worked their way up on the scoreboard. This set up the game perfectly as they were very competitive. However, Fever were in total control as they were up by 18 points. However, they were unable to put the Dream away for good until the end of the game.

The home team got very close to the game, but they missed a couple of 3-pointers and that was their downfall. Kelsey Mitchell hit two free throws to ice it. She finished with 29 points to lead the Fever in the scoring department. Caitlin Clark scored 19 points with seven rebounds and seven assists in a solid all-around performance.

Caitlin’s performance has come and gone throughout the season, and she’s making 33% of her 8.5 attempts per game. She is only behind Kayla McBride in total makes.

Now, Indiana has a 3.5-game advantage over ninth-place Atlanta. The tiebreaker that the Fever (14-16) owns, and they essentially have a 4.5-game lead on the 10-19 Dream with 10 contests remaining.

So, Indiana Fever is set for a great postseason. It would take a major collapse for them to miss out on that. They’ve not done that since 2016. This would end their longest playoff drought in the league.
