Khris Middleton missed 27 games last season due to a left ankle injury. The Bucks’ season ended right after that in the first round of playoffs at the hands of the Pacers. Khris Middleton has surgery to clean that ankle up.

Now, according to a new report, Khris Middleton has had offseason surgery on both ankles. However, he should be ready for the start of the new season for the Bucks’.

The surgery Khris Middleton had on his left ankle was related to a sprain suffered in Feb when he landed on Kevin Durant’s foot. His injury remained for the entire season and he couldn’t play for the team. However, the injury on his right ankle was a minor arthroscopic procedure meant to clean up a lingering issue.

According to reports, he had the surgery in mid-June this year. He also reportedly started working out in court.

In the last few years, injuries have been an issue for Khris Middleton. He suffered an MCL sprain in the first round against the Chicago Bulls in the 2022 playoffs. That may have cost the team a potential shot at the championship. In that season, the Bucks were eliminated by the Boston Celtics in seven games in the second round.

After that, he only played 33 games in the 2022-23 season as he dealt with knee issues. In the last season, he only played in 55 games.

The Bucks rely heavily on their highly-paid quartet of Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Brook Lopez for their offense. So, they need Khris Middleton to be fit and at his best for the team to move forward towards the championship.
