The defensive back Douglas Coleman III from the Bears was injured on the first play from scrimmage from the second half during Chicago’s preseason finale against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night.
After that, he was taken off the field on a stretcher. According to a report from ESPN, he left Arrowhead Stadium in an ambulance for a checkup. However, the Bears did not address the injury to their defensive back.

The 26-year-old star from the Bears was injured on the first play from scrimmage in the second half of the game. It happened when he attempted to tackle Chiefs wide receiver Cornell Powell. After the collision, he fell to the ground and the staff took over. All his teammates came to the sidelines to see him immobilized and taken off the field on a stretcher.
For the past two seasons, he was with the Ottawa RedBlacks of the Canadian Football League. However, this offseason, he signed with the Bears. He was a Texas Tech player and went undrafted in 2020.
In the same year, he did sign with the Denver Broncos as a rookie but he was cut before the regular season.
In the game, the Bears defeated the Chiefs with a 34-21 score on Thursday night. This is their perfect preseason as they’ve gone 4-0 up.
