One of the fast bowlers from Uttar Pradesh has announced that he is retiring from Indian cricket. Ankit Rajpoot represented UP in the 2024-25 Ranji Season where he could not take any wickets in two matches.
He was one of the older bowlers who made his debut in the 2012-2013 Ranji Trophy season. He took 248 wickets in his 80 first-class games at an average of 29.25. In List A cricket, he picked up 71 wickets from 50 matches. In T20 matches, he took 105 wickets in 87 matches.
In the IPL, he represented many franchises like Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab, and Rajasthan Royals. In the IPL, he picked up 24 wickets in 29 matches. In 2022, he was selected by Lucknow Super Giants but didn’t get a game.

I am grateful for the opportunities given to me by the Board of Control for India, Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association, Kanpur Cricket Association, IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings 11, Rajasthan Royals, and Lucknow Super Giants.”
