He said in the ceremony that he saw himself fighting with none other than the legend and the former boxing heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. He added that he visions the fight to be enjoyed by millions of kids on their TVs and devices. 

Netflix has made this dream of the boxer come true, on Friday, 15th November, 2024, Jake’s dream will turn into reality in Netflix’s very first live-stream. The fight is the biggest sports event by the streaming giant yet and probably also the highest-profile effort in live streaming ever. 

It marks a milestone in the efforts of Netflix to grow its advertising business and boost its live programming. The platform is well-known for its super-hit shows including ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘Bridgerton’, recently it stated that its cheaper-ad supported tier has increased and reached 70 million from 40 million since May. 

The bout between the 27-year-old content creator and the 58-year-old hard hitter is going to be closely watched by analysts to see how many of Netflix’s 283 million subscribers from all the corners of the world tune in for the fight. 

Jake Paul originally became famous for his unique antics, whereas Mike Tyson gained popularity by becoming the youngest heavyweight champion at the age of 20. 

The event featuring Jake Paul and Iron Mike is going to take place in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium, is a partnership between Netflix and Jake Paul’s co-founded company, Most Valuable Promotions. 

Three fights will be held in the preliminary stage beginning at 2:30 p.m., followed by four more fights in the main stage starting at 5 p.m., with Tyson vs. Paul as the finale.
