Nick Harris Returns to Cleveland in Browns-Seahawks Trade

Nick Harris is back with the Cleveland Browns after a trade between the Browns and Seahawks. The veteran star started his career with the Browns and has now returned to his original team after a long time.

He was traded from Seattle to Cleveland. In this trade, the Browns gave the Seahawks a 2026 sixth pick, and in addition, Harris received a 2026 seventh-round pick.

Nick Harris was a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft. He only made four starts in 40 regular season games during his first go-around with the Browns. After that, due to an injury, he missed the entire 2022 preseason. And in the last season, he only made two starts before signing with Seattle in March.

Luke Wypler suffered an ankle injury during the team’s preseason opener against the Packers. So, the addition of Nick Harris is a smart move for Cleveland who needed to add depth at center.

The Browns are getting a player, Nick Harris, who knows their system and many of their offensive side of the ball. Harris should be able to gel in effortlessly in the Browns unit as was part of the same setup. Other players might need to train to get acclimated to things at training camp.

The Seattle Seahawks also got something in return instead of simply releasing Harris. Seattle signed Conner Willams recently and that is why Harris became expendable for the team. Based on this decision to trade Harris, we think that the Seahawks believe that Williams’s injury is behind him and he is ready to go. In case of any injuries to Williams, the Seahawks also have a backup in Olu Oluwatimi.
